hi people , i am new to the site , i have a question to all of you mini lovers , basicly i have bought a 1100 cc 1977 leyland mini , the engine has been taken out and the car has gone in for a full restoration , what i would like to know is can this engine be turbocharged , and if so exactly what do you have to do to the engine / gearbox to make it reliable to accept a turbocharger , thanks people . karl.

cheers paul , so its possible to squeeze a little more bhp out of that old engine without doing any damage to it , a couple of questions , do i need to reduce the compression of the engine or is the ratio acceptable as a standard unit , and lastly do you know where i can purchase all the atatchments [ hoses , manifold , intercoolers etc ] or supply the technical info regarding the conversion , thanks for your time paul , regards .. karl
