As some of you may have seen in Rob H's build thread i've knocked up an initial batch of rear beam brackets, with the intention of building up a few.

They are fully ajustable for camber and tracking, guides for handbrake cable to run in, exhaust bobbin mounting point, and mounting points for the heelboard. Inner and outer brackets are laser cut from 3mm steel and professionally folded in a propper bender.

Please excuse lack of paint, but will be supplied in gloss back unless a specific colour or coating is required.

Price-wise i would be looking for £85 posted (UK)

What are peoples thoughts?

Nice, I've got to admit that I think your design is slightly better than the one that I came up with.

Have you though about adding a couple of little bosses to allow the possible fitment of an ARB at a later date, providing my mad design works!

Gorgeous.

Well done mate, looks great. Good price too.

I'd recommend some pipe and hose brackets welded on as well for mounting tee piece/regulator and brake hose feeds to radius arms.

I'd also recommend fitting an inboard mounting point either side of the exhaust as the beams without triangulation tend to flex for and aft quite a bit, that way you can bolt it to the heelboard either side of the tunnel as well as picking up on the outer heelboard bolt positions a la standard subby.

Amazing how much these things flex when you pull the handbrake on.

The beam I made for the van to the original Speedex drawings cost me about £24 in steel tube and angle plus £25 to have powder coated.

Good work.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Id go for one as long as it doesnt need any further welding for mounts etc.

In reply to some comments, there are mounting points either side of the exhaust mounting.

Good shout about the bracket for the brake hoses.

Only tested so far on a car that hasn't been on the road hence why your opinions are helpfull.

No welding required.

I think i'll knock a couple up and go from there.

Look fine for drag racing but bearing in mind they are left substantial than Huddersfield beam and that flexed like a wobble board not to sure for anything that is going around corners!

I made a couple but never really got any further with the idea tbh, just ran out of time, can knock you up brackets though, either the same as these or to your own design.
