had a good google around but cant find an online retailer of panel fasteners, where do u get yours from?

I cant get them to stay in i have lost a couple through them fallin out!! I think a lot of racers cover them with tape.

Mine always stayed in, maybe you've not got the ones for the right panel thickness so they're a bit loose?

ah merlin motorsport do them, based at castle coombe. hm, what thickness wil li need? I'll be doing the usual 'through the wing and through a plate behind' design.

Dzus are fairly fiddly to set up properly, as iain said you also need to make sure you have the correct depth size and they line up well.

is there another recommended method? i'd like to keep it as steath as poss, i've just been looking at camloks, they look pretty similar to dzus.

Dzus fasteners are not that great. If you get any side loaading on them it wears the cup under the head and they will then fall out completely. The Mounting springs tend to give up the ghoast as well after a bit. When you install them you want them so they are just nice and snugg under some sring tension from the mounting spring. I dont think that you will get great life from them on mounting front ends, but as they are not that expensive you can afford to replace them from time to time.
