have cut the front off of my car and was originally planning on cnverting it to bolt of front wings and front panel , however i began to price this up and realised there isnt much difference in price to a curley carbon one , do the carbon fronts fit well or not ? ive seen some fibreglass fronted cars where the fit itsnt all that nice , hence i didnt look at that option , but while trying to find pics of carbon fronted cars ive seen a few fibreglass ones that look ok , what do you guys think , carbon vs steel vs fibreglass ? and who do you reccomend to purchase from ?

p.s i like shiney straight paint *wink* :)

thanks

The more effort you put in to the fitment the better it will look.

Its up to you

i'd say if you prefer straight paint, a metal panel is going to be best, albeit at the sacrifice of extra weight

a few things has changed my opinion on the fronts.
*imo its weight over the right wheels, *my mini definitely under steered more with the the fg one( although a geo setup could solve this imo)
*it was a bitch on - off - on - off as mine is a one peice
*the wiring isnt a problem but you need to run earths and the such
*the fit was never quite right but with time and patients (ie not me lol)
*vibrate on motorway the centre off the bonnet lifted aswell
*the fit
* the car was very very unstable at speed, and over a bit of a bump on the motorway i thought i was gonna sky the fucker *hehe!*
i was in a 30mph front ender (non mini), and the devastation caused well, i want as much steel as i can get between me and anything in front *happy*

all i did was changer the front nothing else at that time
but then on the other end of the scale,
the weight, no rust 2 really really big bonuses

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

Hi,

i run a steel one.
But i am thinking of a carbon one. It's just seems sexy to have it on a mini. But i would clearcoat it to show the weav.

Steel has the plus that you can get a good fit more easaly. But with time and effort everything is possible.

Good luck

there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.
