Having cut down and drilled loads of holes in a rear subframe to turn it into a rear beam, I've decided it could be much lighter if I were to start from scratch.

you can get special wire, they sell it on the custom cages website, but its expensive, and you can use normal mild steel wire

Thanks for that, seeing as no one has added any glaring reason not to I'll get on and order the tube then, and just use ordinary wire.

Ha during the cartwheel/spiral I think My attention will be turning to how well I welded the rollcage in!
