im going to reconditioning my splitrim alloys soon. will be painting the centres, polishiong the rims and replacing the black bolts i currently have with some stainless dome topped allen ones.

where is the best place to order replacement bolts?

i need 100 M6x30 A4 grade stainless allen dome top bolts.

100 nylock nuts to suit.

200 small stainless washers

is there anyone on here that provides bolts? or can anyone advise where i can order these from a good seller on the internet? i have seatched the net but the choice of providers is endless.

many thanks

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

When you say you want 30mm bolts, are you going to use fully threaded bolts? Surely there would be some slop where the bolt passes through the aluminium wheel centre? Would you not be better off looking for bolts with a shanked section and just enough thread on the end to ensure that the but can be tightened to the proper torque without getting to the end of the thread?

Bolts have a threaded portion of the overall length, the remainder (the shank) is unthreaded. A screw is threaded along its entire length *happy*

to get a 30mm 'bolt' with only a little thread on the end, you would need to find a bolt with the desired length shank and then cut the threaded portion down.

However, it doesnt really matter as the 'fastener' *happy* should not be exposed to shear loads, as long as they are tightened correctly.
