So me and a group of mates are off to the ring in the summer, we are planning on getting an early ferry, so are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful, but more importantly with room for 3 towcars and trailers, to stop overnight the night before the ferry.

Ideally somewhere like Canterbury, Whitstable, Maidstone, Ashford, etc etc. Within 20-30min or so of Dover docks.

Anyone local to that area know of anything? Something like a pub with some rooms and a big car park would be ideal. At the moment we have found a selection of Travelinnlodge type place, but they either have no where to eat on site, or the parking is remote from where you are staying, etc etc.

Theres a place about 5 mins away from me. Theres a travelodge and a harvester in the same little complex bit.

Its in a town called Herne bay but it may be considered to be in broomfield. I should be able to get a post code for you if you need.

Actually I lied, apparently its a Premier inn.

Not sure if this will work but try have a look at this:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?layer=c&cbll...vO9_OjAfR8eSbCg

If that shows you a brick wall, turn the pointer right, head down the thanet way and come off at the slip road. You should come to a small round about and the Premier inn is straight over. The harvester is on the first left.

The post code is CT6 6LB and the specific area is called Talmead. Its only recently opened up.

There's a premier inn just off junction 10 of the M20 - Orbital business park

Seems nice, theres a watering hole i occasionally frequent next to it.

Decent car park, always seemed fairly safe when i've been there
