How high does it have to be to not see it? When I look up I can see the sun and I am lead to believe that that is quite a few miles away..

The ash is dispersed and it is here. Look acros the horizon and you will noticabley see a lightish brownish greyish tinge to the sky. Also watch the sun set this evening and the sky will glow.

I washed the car last night and this morning there was the slightest of grey dust on the car, not covered, and I an having problems with excess mucous in my throat. Perhaps a placebo effect *hehe!* I don't think the ash has started to fall completely yet.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Went out with the girlfriend last night, and we thought that the sun was awfully red and and the rest of the sky darker in shade, but more vibrant if you know what i mean.

The house door to go out to the garage *happy*

It was early in the morning when the air was still falling.... since the sun has come out, the smell has gone.

At the time the Met Office website said the cloud was down at 6000ft where we are though so I wasn't surprised.
