MegaJolt is cheap, straightforward, and does all that a turbo A series reasonably requires of it. This is why lots of people on here use it.

Or Megasquirt as it does ignition and injection if you ever need to run Efi one day.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

As Richard says, you might want to consider MegaSquirt.

I concur MJ is all you would want from an ignition system, but if you spend a few extra pounds on MS it does a lot more. Not just potentially more control, but you can monitor and log much more so it makes setting up the car potentially better. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

As Richard says, you might want to consider MegaSquirt. It does everything MegJolt does for ignition and can do things like boost control without even considering it's future potential for fuel injection. A Megasquirt module built just for ignition has the advantage that it doesn't need the EDIS module, it can be built to drive the coilpack directly. As Rod says. I run my MS1 Extra to operate wasted spark direct coil pack ignition only but I also control my fuel pump with it, my lecky fan, my water injection pump and water injection nozzle and it drives my tacho, gives me full data logging capability and takes the input from my AEM WB O2 sensor. All with standard Rover SPi air and coolant sensors. Without doubt, the fitting of mappable ignition and a wideband O2 have been the two BEST mods I've done. When I bought my MS ECU from Phil Ringwood in 2006 (www.ExtraEFi.co.uk) it was £270 and was one of the first to have 5 outputs. I think the same MS1 unit now is about £350 and if you were to drop the water injection control you could easily do boost control as Rod says. If I want to fit injection, it's a simple case of joining up the current unused wires from the ECU to the Idle valve and injectors and Bob's your mothers brother. Go on, you know you want to .........
