Back to Fucking Tool status

Right just been in the graden having the gf with lunch and we had a look in the pond to see what only seems to be a miniture penguin type larvae... its about the size of the end of my thumb and looks like a fat penguin. i have searched high and low on the net to try and find somthing out about this thing.
i was wondering if any of you wizzards may know a thing or two about pounds :)

no im not tripping out i havent had a drink either

i was thinking this as there are 3 or 4 in my pond but it didnt look like one. it was almost a cross between a fish and a frog but the frog rear legs at the front and no tail =/

Maybe some sort of diving beetle? They can look a little bit like penguins (with some imagination)...

i wondered how long it would take somone to see that "having the gf with some lunch" im abit dissapointed in youlot!, well its like a day 70 tadpol crossed with a diving beetle. think it maybe abit disformed but it has no tail, no rear legs.... only front legs//flaps

Could be dragonfly larvae but these look really gruesome, almost like they'd take your finger off if you poked it, viscous buggers.

And they eat tadpoles and newts - got loads in the missus' pond.
