For those that are interested, I have just had a mooch in the garage with my mirage manifolds and GT17 turbo.

It will fit with some minor tweaks to the compressor housing and block, and hopefully the oil drain shouldn't be too much bother.

My engine isn't pushed too far forward, so there is room to gain with the bulkhead.

The closest point is just above the oil return/fuel pump boss on the back of the block, I might tickle it a little more yet.

Looks like a fair bit of rotation of the turbine housing.

Is there enough meat in the flange to re-drill the holes?

You could mount it square but it would mean a lot more tweaking of the block. I think there is enough metal to redrill but I may need to plug the original holds first. Still not decided on this route or start from scratch.
