Anyone know of any deals for a basic cheap tool kit to keep in the motor? Just basic stuff like spanners, socket set, screwdrivers etc including a tool box. Nothing fancy...not even fussed if it got nicked type of thing.

my main tool set was based around an argos kit until recently it lasted 5-6 years constant abuse they dont seem to sell the exact kit anymore though so not much help :(

edit, imo halfrauds kits are excellent quality, but to expensive to not care much if its robbed*happy*

the halfords professional 150pc set is often sold on offer for £100

maybe a bit steep, but its one of the best equipped and best value toolkits ive ever seen, lifetime guarantee too

I've got a cheepo one from B&Q. been in the minis and van for years. covers most minor break downs and has imperial spanners

sallys gap. garden of Ireland

In ireland, B&Q works out quite dear.
Even compared to hellfrauds.
But the they do have imperial, bonas.
One step up for quality though, goes to hellfrauds im afraid.

Try second hand, or closing garages like i did.

Keep meaning to buy one myself. I dont think it steep at all. Well worth the money.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Its purely a backup tool set...don't want to put my snap-on in the motor. Got break down cover....so just a basic set will do.
