I notice that the 2.95 and 3.1 both have 59 teeth on the crownwheel.

Are these the same part? If so I guess you can use the pinion from a 3.1 on a 2.95 crown wheel or vice/versa.

Or are the profile/pitch of the teeth different?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Crownwheels have same number of teeth but different part number so presumably differend pitch/diameter

I'll check tomorrow, how much are they worth?

Keep an eye on this Colin, should tell you what they are worth. Last 2.95 diff I got came in a gearbox for £40 so was a bargain.

In all honesty I don't want to pay much for one as I'm only after the diff for stock so can wait for a bargain.
