I should imagine by the time it has compressed all the air in the pipe right the way to the front, whilst the exhaust is pumping heat into the charge pipe right next to it, that more effect would be gained from farting into the air filter........

Bet it's from an american forum?

I've only seen these over here - I recall reading something that said Lag is hardly noticable.
This can only mean the turbo is too small for big power then!

The much lower temperature of the exhaust gasses at the tailpipe would also reduce the efficiency somewhat (lower temperature = less volume to spin the turbine wheel).

All in all - why bother?

exhausr gasses would be much colder, so less dense, so would lose lots of power, and lots of lag too, but I may be wrong

Any turbo is better than no turbo, but why do a half arsed job?
