hello there. i have just bought a mini that is in need of restoring and i got boxes of bits, now that i have it home and in my shed i have noticed there is know vin plate anywhere, i was hoping the plate would be in a box so had a look threw them, never found anything. i have the log book for the car and was told the car was re-shelled. what do you think is the best thing to do, do i carry on re-storing or is it pointless without a vin plate. thanks IV BEEN IN THE WOODS TO LONG TO HAVE BEEN FUCKED BY A CROW |

you can buy a blank vin plate and just stamp the number in it, all though many would see that as ringing the car which is illegal.... On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
i tried putting soap on it , and heating it to brown , then slathered my new lube on it

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

Minimail will supply and stamp a new vin plate, which will look like factory issue - 01989720111 Edited by retroracer1380 on 3rd May, 2010. |

When I restored the Midget I genuinely lost the VIN plate (found it years later down the back of something) so I bought a blank one off either from Moss or MG Owners Club (I can't remember which) and got a little company round the corner from me to punch it up for a donation to there tea boat.
