Just noticed this today on the webcon site.

http://www.webcon.co.uk/Downloads/Webcon%2...ries%20Head.pdf

£949 bare or £995 plus VAT assembled. I dont know what the valve sizes are though. My guess is 33/29mm

Having seen one of them in my hands last week and compared it to the AKM/Minisport one I have, I can confirm that the ports are different (smaller) and the spacing between the centre 2 ports is definitely closer.

A bit cheaper than the £1700-1995 elsewhere.

I should be able to give some insight on this soon! I currently run a N.A. 1380 in my Austin America with a Maniflow intake and weber 45. I have the stock head from Pierce directly that will run the 40's. I plan to do a dyno run with the single 45 and then swap heads and dyno the 7 port with no other changes except for the head w/carbs. Should give some insight into how it really works apples to apples.

Here's my current spec...
1300 block bored to 1380 w/AE pistons
A+ rods & crank
lightweigh billet flywheel (10.5 lbs)
Keith Calver GT spec cylinder head
Kent 276 cam
Swiftune 1.5 rockers
Weber dcoe 45 on short Maniflow intake
Maniflow LCB II exhaust (single glasspack)
123 electronic distributor w/out vacuum
A+ gearbox w/clubman straight gearset
Billet cross pin diff
Straight cut drops
Timing belt conversion w/KAD fluid damper

I'm hoping to see some good power with the head, although I was making good power with the new 1380 setup that I just finished 100 miles ago and shredded my laygear! Should have the motor back in the car within a week or so.....

current setup...

7 port layout....

That looks great!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

the sparkplugs are tiny things 8mm or so. From a VFR400 or something like that.

Eric, Would be interesting to know what mains, airs, idles, chokes, bleeds etc you set up on that when you do the dyno.

I'll be happy to post jetting, etc. when done. A friend of mine has the same head, but sent it back to Pierce and just had MED supply their version already built up (they use Pierce heads also as a base)....although he doesn't even have a car to put it into just yet, but that is in the works.

Pierce gave me specs to start with that should help and I do have an Innovate AFR that I used to set up the 45 that worked very well, so I should be able to have it pretty close before the dyno session.

I would have finished this by now as I had planned on doing it this winter, but after installing the fresh 1380 on a rebuilt A+ box, this is what I did after 100 or so miles....this was from a downshift to 2nd up to 6k, and then shifted into 3rd....I wasn't even being hard on it either...

I'll post up pics of the car in another thread....

Thanks to Vegard for turning me on to the site....been reading for a while now....very informative!!!

This Austin look magnificent, I like his general aspect, paint colour, and this engine is gorgeous, really it's touching me.
impatient to see the 7 results, you certainly could ask your founds returns for the promotion your austin is making, sure it'll help some guys like me to take this way.
best regards

For anyone curious if the castings are similar on Minisport and Pierce Manifolds 7 ports.......heres a comparison from top down. Notice the casting....and notice the weber spacing. Definately narrower on the Pierce.....meaning more of a straighter run in the port.

Minisport (iron):

Pierce Manifolds (ally):
