Hello All! Great forum here!!! I have been reading for a while thanks to a nod from Vegard over on the ADO16 boards. Right now, my Austin America is set up as a N.A. 1380, but have thoughts of turbo options as well for my spare motor. I do have a metro turbo setup hiding in the garage somewhere... *wink*

Here's what I have so far....
1969 Austin America
Basically stock suspension w/anti roll bar (hydrolastic)
Stripped interior w/aluminum panels & lexan side windows
Full roll cage
1300 A block bored to 1380
AE pistons on balanced A+ rods & crank w/center strap
Kent 276 cam w/belt conversion & KAD fluid damper
123 electronic distributor w/out vacuum
Calver GT spec head w/swiftune 1.5 roller rockers
(soon to be Pierce 7 port aluminum crossflow *tongue*)
Weber dcoe45 on Maniflow 3.5" intake
Maniflow LCBII w/2" pipe & glasspack muffler, side exit
A+ gearbox w/cross pin diff & pot joints
Straight cut clubman gearset & straight cut drops
Lightweight billet flywheel w/AP rally orange clutch
Fuel cell in trunk

I'm in the middle of a rebuild right now as I stripped the teeth from the laygear only 100 miles after the 1380 upgrade, but the plans are to dyno the car with the 5 port head and then swap to the 7 port and dyno again to get a true comparison figure. Hopefully, the car will be back on the road in a week or so...:)

Some pics....

And in the near future....

i really like that very tidy, however it looks like the designers lost the will to live or got bored on the rear end.

leeds/wakefield.

Well ,it really pains me to say it but that realy is a loverly thing, and i never thought i'd say that about an Austin 1100.

the car/colour reminds me of one that used to compete at my local hillclcimb way back in the very early ninties,

Hopefully not too far down the pipeline....want to get the 1380 set well and then I'll be preparing my spare engine setup for boooost!*happy*

Also, I'm no stranger to turbo....here's a former car of mine that I had some other people working on, but the Austin will be all mine!

2.0 Golf GTI w/16v head conversion...T4, air to water IC, TecIII, about 350whp before final tuning runing 1.5 bar....just kept breaking stuff so I lost interest.....
