What are you running it NA for the MOT? Either the fuelling is right or wrong, The turbo won't cause any emission problems. But it won't have any effect on the engine (assuming the fuelling is ok).

On of the fastest minis in the country has a front mount rad and a side mount IC, so it can work if done properly.

The emissions test is done at either tick over or low down the rev range, I can't remember which but either way the turbo isn't boosting so won't effect the price of fish.

Also the mini with the side mounted IC also has a lot of ducting to control the air flow.

thanks

the only reason it is running NA is that when i bought the car it was in bits and an empty shell i knew it was an MG engine so fitted it and run it up then found out later it was a turbo engine so have none of the ancillaries its running ok at the minute but will mot it as it is then get the turbo gear while im running it however during the resto of the shell i modified the bulkhead and fed return fuel lines in so ready for all the bits i have no inner wings either they went during the rebuild so ducting shouldnt be a problem

thanks for replies
