just been offered a med cylinder head how do i distinguish a MED cylinder head?

Med heads normally have a stamping on them somewhere, as do alot of heads from the main producers. I`m sure this question has been asked before, a search being up nothing fella? On 19th Feb, 2011 Miniwilliams said:

it should be stamped 'MED' and inlet/exhaust valve size aswell i think Yes i moved to the darkside |

should be next to the thermostat take of, certainly is on my MED head.

ohhh i found it i just bought a head which the owner said it was a med one got a good bargin with it i must say its stamped MED 289 |

MED have got a good record of the heads they've done. Call them and see if the numbers add up with the spec. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

I recently bought a head that claimed to be a 36/30 roadcomp with 20.5cc chambers, I contacted MED with the stamp details, and they were able to confirm to me that it was éxactly what it was being sold as. Mr. Prawn, the friendly Crustacean- slowly making steps towards forced induction. |
