was thinking of putting my fire extinguisher on the passengers side arch round in the cabin (behind the wheel where it is curved to the left of the flitch) is there any structuall reason not to, i went to put it there today and secure it but then i though hmmm, i might ask first. its a little big to go under the passenger seat so im thinking this may well be one of the only places for it.

is it safe to attach it here with self tappers (around 9 of them) structually.

sounds like a dumb question but i want to be sure before i bolt it in.

thanks in advance.

The location is not a problem. It would be better on the floor, but that is just my opinion. However, I would ditch the self tappers and put in nuts and bolts.

ok.

ill get some n bolts and nylocks from work.

its too big for the crossmember as it wont fit between the seat brackets... thats where i wanted it originally.

so i could bolt it behind there heels but through the floor?

is it better on the floor due to centre of gravity or just because its more out of the way?

I just did mine and fixxed it to the back seat, in the center circle bit looks quite good and quick to get to. Agree with the nuts and bolts too self tapers are not nice!.

im not stripping my interior its staying all standard exept the early dash so the rear seat plan is a no go.

i think ill just place it behind the heels of the pasenger on the floor as recomended above.

thanks for the help :)

bolt it down on the floor.
try to keep the handle/trigger towards the driver, or right hand of the co pilot, just in case. and hopefully you wont need it.
