generator temperature

evening all,
im building a generator cabinet to silence it ....its a air cooled diesel direct inj 415cc single cylinder .

i am monitoring the temps as i go ,

its running now at about 54 to 58 degrees c air temp in the cabinet top ,and about 25 to 30 degrees in the bottom ,ambient is 13c ... no fans on it yet ,but the hole in the wall is done for one ,ex is vented outside too ..

the q is ,
does anyone know whats a safe temp in the cabinet ?,

Depends on the insulation of the windings. Most electrical machines with modern insulation are rated at 80 degrees above a 40 degree ambient.

You should be Ok at up to 40 degrees.
