sorry about the arty farty-ness of this pic but seems the most relevant one i have to hand considering the question i'm asking.

i took my oil pump off the other day and to my shock it was a spider type design which i have never seen before.



i cant find anything on this pump so i've no idea if it will be up to the job and then if it does need replacing do i have to get a new cam i for the right drive? or any ideas if i can just use this one?

No, just buy another spider drive cam style. Im pretty sure they still do them. Did you have oil pressure issues before? If you didnt why replace it? Check the insides for signs of wear.

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

oh no theres no problems with it i just thought that ppl upgraded there pumps to cope with the turbo etc.

might just slap it back on then, thought best first to check thanks mike.

It wont be a high flow turbo pump, looks like the minispares spider drive pump to me, i use one in my NA mini.

As said above you can still get the spider drive pumps from Minispares.

But not the Turbo pump. because of the slot drive application.

But you can get a spider drive with a slot in it. So that you can use the turbo high flow pump. *wink*

There are not cheap but its cheaper than changing the cam.
