Does anyone else go through spells of feeling like you just cant be arsed to carry on with your projects?

Im seriously lacking motivation to keep going with the miglia at the moment, havnt touched the bloody thing for weeks and even when i did it was kind of half hearted.Mainly its due to spending a lot of time with the family and have started to get into mountain biking so not much free time at the moment.

Think the best plan is to just let it sit for a while and then come back to it when the enthusiasm returns.Anyone else have spells like this?

Cheers Ross.

Yep, for the past two years!!

My car's been pretty much on the cusp of being complete for over a year but I just cant summon the drive to get it done.

Really quite annoying considering how much ive spent on it.

Story of my life, to be honest. I haven't wanted to even look at the mini for a year or so. It's been rusting if front of my house and I haven't even thought about it for about 6 months. I'm the same with everything though. My final diet of exams start tomorrow and I began studying today, just because I've no motivation.

Best bet is to sit it out, don't force anything and I'm sure the enthusiasm will come back to you.

Im currently having that problem with the daily. MOT is due and i had a split cv boot. Simple job turned into a nightmare, now got a long list of things to replace on that side. Plus i need to treat some rust.

Much rather be working on my project.

I can't be bothered with work, would much rather be playing with the cars.

Building the van's engine over the weekend and the arrival of some more fun tools (as Rob H will agree) has upped my motivation for the mini somewhat.

Im the same! I have been full steam ahead weekends and evenings till late for the past couple months. I have been going to work for a rest *happy*

I go through spells myself when i cant be bothered. Leave it in the garage it will still be there when you get back into it!

Same here, but I find after spells of working relentless hours fixing the dam thing motivation is soon restored after driving it. Ive been spending a fair amount of time playing with other cars in recent months and its quite pleasent going back to the mini to tinker.
