Hi all,
Went to see steve (BENROSS) on sat regarding doing some engine work for me, just wanted to say thanks to apbellamy for pointing me in his direction,Steve's a really sound guy who's only too willing to help, we have worked out a complete spec for the motor including a change to a gt17 turbo on a mirage manifold for starters.

As well as an almost overwhelming amount of advice he was kind enough to take me out in the yellow benross turbo mini. All I can say about it is, that having owned a z cars busa mini myself I thought I would never get a go in another mini which comes anywhere even close in performance, it seems I was quite wrong! I dont wish to take anything from any other forum members or mini owners as there are some great cars out there, but make no mistake Steve's car is hysterically quick.
To me I also found it important to note, even as a passenger I was very impressed by the way the car drove, ie the overall ride and feel of it was of just a really fully sorted and useable car,which is what I would like to try and replicate with mine, thanks very much for everything Steve, it was a fun day and to date the best mini I have been in.

Only 2 problems, firstly now I really really want one! and secondly I am getting more and more concerned over my tiny wheels!

i would like to add to this , steve is a sound guy, he wont get you to buy what you dont need, he will help with advise when he can, he is going to minispares on wednesday to get me parts i am missing, i only wish that i knew him 3 years ago when i had all the problems with morspeed (but thats another story) nothing is to much trouble for him, if you need an engine or cylinder head, he is your man. He also took me out in his mini last friday, and as oil says " yes its quick,its the fastest minis i have ever been in". thanks steve for all the past, present and help i will need in the future.

He's a top bloke, he gave us loads of help and advice when we where building the van's engine. Shame we fooked it up!

i went out in the mini when i went to get my engine done and the clutch was slipping alto with my exta 100kgs in but was still insanly quick. and it is in full raod tirm and full in terior etc. must wigh in at 700kgs with the cage aswell
