Hi all,

Just to let you know morspeed has purchased a rolling road and is having it fitted mid febuary.

This will help us set-up & bed in the new engines which we fit, And make sure they produce the power intended.

The decsision to have a rolling road instead of a dyno is so we can see how much power is being lost through tires/brakes/ drive train and general customer build of the car itself. in the end its the power transfered to the road that matters.

Simon

Its a 250bhp Clayton, With a SUN emissions tester.
This means we can check the fuelling right through the rev range.

Sounds tops.
Is it up to date as the old claytons only had the dials for readout and came with no logging or graphing facilities.
You just can't beat getting the results down on paper.

I can vouch for this company as i've been using their dynos for around 10 years now.. not cheap but worth the money for the flexability of their software.

Simon,

PM sent...

ps - ask for the full dyno documentation from Land-and-Sea - It's awesome - lots of good articles included aswell. They're well respected over this side of the pond (if that means anything*oh well*)

The boring bloke who runs this place.

Berkshire

I spoke to Simon via Pm, and he said once he's set up, he'd be happy to let us organise a rolling road day there.

So, we'll start a new thread in a few days, and get some interest together for a summer bash?
