I know a few people hear have V70s, so I was wandering does anyone know how to get the brake discs off? Is there some kind of adjuster I need to slacken off like I do on the Mini or is it simply a case of percussive engineering with a mallet?

There should be a hole in the rear brake disc, this hole should be aligned to the little adjustment bolt for the rear handbrake shoes. Loosen this little bolt a bit and then it should be possible to remove the rear disc.
