Every time i put my foot down i can feel power suddenly increase after 5000RPM. i havent tried higher than 6000rpm, so i not sure about after 6000. AND during the engine speed up, some where between 4000rpm to 5000rpm. i can feel engine become weaker . something wrong with fueling?

i just chaged the distributor to metro turbo one last week, and the problem started after i change. i was using 1275 cooper electric distributor with 4psi boost. and the engine was normal to me , no power sudden shoot out .

what do you mean 'shoot out' Do you mean that when you get to 4-5k you get lots of boost and it accelerates more quickly? If you where using a different dizzy then the advance curve potentially wouldn't suit a turboed engine. Now you have a turbo dizzy you will be getting a closer matched advance to your engine and potentially more power.

no ,the boost can stay at 8psi after about 4000rpm, but power suddenlly out from 5000rpm. its just like a point. however boost stay same, so im thinking about fueling and timing
