hi all im in the proces of rebuilding my metro turbo enfine ready for my mini. I have recently just bort new piston rings. The rings that i got wer the only ones listed for a tturboengine at my local motor factors. But iv nw fitted the rings an the oil scraper ring seems to be thinner and mover up an down in its groove more that the old ring did! The make of the rings is the same as the pistons witch i believe to standard size.
Does anyone no if it is ok to have movement like this?
Chz

Proper turbo rings are NLA as far as I'm aware. We've just fitted a set of total seal rings and so far so good. All the details are here:

i had a set matched up to my needs, but i had a friendly machinist at my local machine shop,
i took the easy option this time around and bought new pistons
the total seal rings linked by andy are in use with a couple members on here
