this has probly been asked thousands of times but i personally need help with this

i have never done anything with electrics ever and i doubt i will ever again!

so far with mega jolt all i have done is fit the dizzy blank and remove the coil, as well as mark what each wire goes to but some of them are really confusing like pip, and vref

where do i go from here should i mount where i want all the megajolt bits and is the megajolt itself waterproof?

The Edis module needs to be mounted on something that can dissipate the heat, make sure the coil pack is mounted close enough for your leads to reach (mine nearly didn't)lol. You'd be best off mounting the megjolt inside the car, as it makes mapping alot easier if you want to map as you drive.

i dont think the unit is water proof, best off mounting inside the car somewhere acessable so that you can easily plug the comm cable into it to upload maps, and change settings.

the edis module would it be ok being mounted straight onto the inside wing as i read that it needs to be mounted onto a plate and mounted away from the metal surface with a 1cm lip all the way around the plate,

i was hoping to also put the coil pack above the top shock mount,

and the megajolt unit itself has come with the most longest lead to plug into a pc EVER! it is the length of my car

if anyone lives near me i will pay them to fit it for me *happy*

I used nic's write up as a guide, it's very comprehensive.
