Anyone know how high the oil level might get in the tappet chests during normal running?

I would have thought not very high, probably just a spattering/layer (unless there is something wrong)

I would think that the non holed ones would be almost completely full. I cannot see why not. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

The tappet chests V, not the tappets. On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

I presumed that the level would be minimal. Its juat that my bodged up breather seems to be leaking oil, but it seems strange that so much oil is getting in it.

Maybe re-examine your "bodged up breather" and make sure the breather pipe goes up at least 200mm before it goes anywhere else - its amazing how far that little bit of oil can get if its not encouraged to stay where you want it to. |
