Hi all i'm George, been on tmf for a while a little while and found my way over here, one or two people may know me.

i'm only 18 so i can't afford to run a turbo mini but its deff something i want to do in future, at the moment i have a 93 rover mini rio, fairly standard engine wise besides a weber 45 i ran for a while, hoping to get a new engine in it soon with a bit more power. will make a topic once i do some more progress,

look forward to checking out some of the cars on here and learning about turbo'd minis so i can eventually build one myself!

Cheers :)

Welcome to turbo minis. The search button is very useful, even with no turbo topics.

So what are you running at the moment any idea what your producing.... do you have any goal’s your aiming for? 

at the moment i think its probably nothing above 60 being a standard 1275 internally but like i said i had a weber on it and i have an lcb and single box exhaust system, i want to build a nice n/a engine soon with a goal of around 100bhp and that should keep me going till i can get boost.

if your on the road and you have some change on you, it may be worth seeing if there a local rolling road near you. my old engine was an 1100 standard, it cost me 25£ for uncle ray to put the carb right and it ran so much better, the way it should you know.

giving that you have change a few bits, it could be fun knowing your cars running right.

any how, keep your eyes peeled for stuff that’s about on here and there’s lots of people who have been doing this for years

yeah that might be a plan then, it runs sweet on my su but its crap witht he weber, need to get some smaller jets and a fuel pressure regulator for starters. i don't know what su carb i have though, i thought it was an hif44 but i'm unsure, is there anyway of me finding out?
