bit of a long shot here guys , ive put a removable steel front on my car now , i.e it bolts on and off with the a-panels... it unbolts where the a-panels join the pillar, i was looking at it today and wondering weather or not the remaining a-post section will drop with the weight of a door on it ? ive got lightweight doors with ally skins and drilled out winders etc , but am thinking maybe a gusset from the back of the hinge to the inner arch may help a bit ?

The A panels add not a lot to bugger all structural strength to the A pillar.

As above really, however, with a removeablefront, i would be welding the A panel on a bit more substantially. esp in a roadie |
