My turbo came in the post today.. is it OK? - I've looked at it, and the fin bits seem a bit rough along the edge, is this normal?

they spin nicely, and don't feel lose or anything :)

any thoughts before i leave the guy feedback on ebay? *happy*

No shouldn't be rough at all, it's most likely had some debris through it at some point.

It's usable, it just won't be that efficient.
In reality, I doubt you'll notice the difference unless running higher (12psi+) boost or are after every last single hp...

Don't leave any feedback until its on and not smoking...

Ok, thats fair enough.
We're looking at 8-10psi. And bhp isn't a massive deal, it's our first TM.

Thanks

If it doesn't smoke, it's worth more than a smoker with perfect fins...

Like i say - leave feedback when you know the real condition one way or tother... you have 90 days?

It's sad that we look at something like this and say, "Well, what do you expect from eBay...?"

I expect the same as if I bought something from anyone else: An item, as advertised, and defects disclosed.

The impeller being a rather important part of a turbo, I would certainly not leave positive feedback for someone neglecting to mention that the vanes were chopped up!

Just my two pence. I believe in honesty in advertising. Of course, that might be the same as expecting honesty in the courts, and honesty in politics... -sigh-

I agree with the doctor...

ebay is a risk but that has clear damage!

Say you run the turbo up and the impreelor shatters at 5k rpm on 10 psi... you then wreck your engine! Not much good!
