Having done a search on the above topic, I've got a couple of questions about making best use of an oil catch tank.

All the threads I've read over seem to say it's a good idea, so.....

Anyone got recommendations for the best size to use, or is it a matter of whatever can be fitted?

Also, would it be a good idea to have a take-off fitted to the rocker cover - I've only got one breather on the clutch housing btw.

Roughly how often do you have to empty them?

I've been venting the remaining breather to atmosphere using a K&N filter, but it appears that the engine bay is getting covered in oil mist and I guess this will be getting drawn in to the inlet.

Cheers,

Oz

I have heard (no first hand experience) the more breathers the better and have 3 on my new engine, clutch, rocker cover and timing chain. all going into a 750mm alloy bottle with a breather on top.

Yeah, that's what I took from reading the threads, think I'll see about getting a take off for the rocker - might also have a look at how to get a take off back on the timing cover.
