Hi guys, been lurking around on here for a few years now looking at projects and other stuff, picked up loads of helpful little bits and seen some amazing craftsmanship.

So the story goes,
almost 2 years ago i brought a racing flame for 550, it had a drivers seat fitted so was drivable but it was full with random spares, the reason for purchase was the turbo engine

3 months ago i got rid of the shell as it was way to far gone for my crapping restoration skills, did kept the engine though
2 months ago i brought a city e, shell was sound sound little 998 just had a front end fitted just needs a spray job, its going to be spraued next saturday (12th)

it will be mot'd with the 998 just running a stage 1 kit,
i hope to have the turbo lump in for mitp but i planned to do a few little tweaks before it goes in.

plans for engine before it goes in:
- one of nic's plenums if they are still available when i get paid
- get it set up on megajolt
- mirage manifold (or copy) with a t2 or smaller
(will be alot of questions to what people think will be best quality)

then eventually over time get the head worked, chenge gearbox to something a little stronger, and work the crank again for strength

not looking for massive bananas (although im sure that will change when i start driving a mini again) hoping for about 120 just want reliablility

well may i be the first to say im looking forward to this as i live in welingburgh and next sat the 19th im picking up my new mini its just a 1275 but mint and looking to go turbo

got any turbo parts left over let me know lol

guys i was planning on building a 998 turbo about 2 years ago and i brought a phase 1 turbo cam (well it supposedly is) i totally forgot i had just found it under some draws, it has no number stamped on the end, so i cant really identify it,
the question is i was just wondering if it would be worth popping it in if anyone has any experience with the cam, if fails i do have a spare n/a mg cam i have been told works well?

Just taken the mini over to the spray man, had a few set backs since Saturday, towed it nice, my eyes were streaming with no windows but it was a fun ride
should get it back in 2-3 weeks

not the tidiest, but solid other then the air vents, and a nice place to start from for a project

didnt pick it up last night, supposedly tonight but my dad is being a bell about moving it for me. will post up some more pics when i get it back

mot passed, and my 998 beast is on the road even though it needs a good set up its amazing the smile its puts on your face i forgot what it was like, turbo wont be happining before mitp now i have come to terms with that. but have picked up a few little bits towards the conversion,

manifolds and megajolt will need getting, if anybody is selling anything to run a megajolt system or a mirage manifold please let me know,

running the car totally standard atm, hoping to have brakes, suspension, wheels and arches, and seats in before next weekend but cant stop wanting to drive it to get any work done,

will get some pics up eventually
