Dyno tuning my ECU managed injected and supercharged 1380 costs between $400. to $600. USD in the New York USA area. Way too expensive to do this a few times a season when changes are made.

Have most on this forum learned to do it yourself? Do you partner up with someone to tune while you drive?

I know the basics of tuning but am intimidated by the hundreds of cells that need data input, just in the fueling.....

I use a Canems ECU.

Thanks
Allan

Alot of the ecus have a data logging facility which comes in handy. To be honest the first tuning session will be quite lengthy, but you'll probably find the maps won't change all that much with the odd tweak here and there.

You can always just have wide open throttle part setup on the rollers and do the cruise/over run, and idle on the road.

I only used a rolling road after I'd set it up on the road.

We use Megasquirt. Don't know about Canems.

A wideband O2 gauge is essential.

Me driving and Sturgeo with the laptop on his knees. The VE map was mainly set up by the Autotune facility within the Megatune software (now superceded by Tuner Studio).

The rolling road did show issues with the ignition timing which were sorted.
