FFS bidding on an item on ebay and just bidding on a montego plenum chamber because I dont have any feedback he canceled my bid.

Emailed the person concerned as requested, at which point he removes the damn thing from sale.

Oh hmm feels better now ive shared my frustration. Anyone else had any problems with being a new user on ebay ?

The best thing to do mate is to buy a few cheap things from an ebay company.... they usually dont mind new users.. that way you can build up your feed back...

I would, if I actualy wanted anything they had for sale

and make sure u dont buy lots of things from one person as you'll only get 1 feedback rating even though you may of bought 100 different items. feedback only goes up one for each unique ebayer u buy from.

DONT NO EBAY RULES ETC...

could you not just give each other good feedback on imaginery auctions i.e fake ones?

i hate it when people take off your bid! how do they expect people to buy if they need feedback to do so which they get from buying!lol

i have had problems mate with ebay and a big 1, i ahd my accout hacked into and could not get back onto the site, i also had my email account that i used for ebay hacked. first thing i thoguht was that he was gonig to buy stuff using my credit card so canceled it. thoguht everything was ok until 2 days later when i received a phone call asking me about the mercades SLK that i was selling. i contact ebay many times but only reply i received was to sign into my account and contact them. phoned the police who refused to do anything about it.
so no longer have an acconut and dont think i shall b signing up again.

This sort of thing is the reason I don't bother with ebay at all.

I reckon ebay is why you only find chrome shite, stickers and wheels at mini shows.

Having said that, spares seem to be harder to find so I'm wondering if I'll be forced into trying ebay just to find parts.

reason i joined as there always seems to b what ya want on there, like metro turbo engines i tryed 4 ages but cud not get 1, ebay seem to have a steady flow of them.
but after that incident i dont think ill b using again

I can't wait to ditch ebay tbh.

i dunno mate, but i have a gnvq,diploma & HND in computing and can tell you that no matter what they do to secure a site their is pretty much always a way around it.
i mean a guy managed to get into NASA's computer system n they r supposed to ahve the best security about.
