They are far stronger, and far heavier. That means for a not high-revving turbo engine the big journal rods are better. The A ones are strogner than the A+ ones, but they are heavier.

I have never noticed a difference on old and new A+ rods. ( I didn't know there were two different) No car were ever sold new with an A+ engine in Norway, so we're far more used to the good `ol A ones. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
