Got a parking ticket... but

Today I got a parking ticket today. The thing is I bought a ticket and put it on my dash as I hate sticking it on my window. For some bloody reason it found itself face down on the passenger seat.

If I appeal do I have a leg to stand on? I have a ticket just blew off the dash. I always make sure its there, just don't get how it would have ended up so far from the place I put it.

Same thing happened to me. I appealed. I sent a photocopy of my ticket to the council and then they said 'send the real ticket and we'll drop the fine'. Never heard nothing back so all good.

Ahhhh Madcat did you call them up or send them a letter first? Actually what did you say to them?

Can't remember mate it was about 5 years ago. I think i made up a story about that the wind blew it off the dash. It was north wales council. You've just got to play dumb and blag it.

i had one by not paying wrote to the rats stating it dropped on the floor and produced one from a punter exiting the car park after blagging it, so the droped the fine the rat bastards

works evertime .....lol

does not work at our council, the fine is for non display not bought, ours take a photo of the car without ticket on display

write to them chances are if you dont have a history of ticket dodging they will drop it

I thought that they where getting rid of parking wardens round Swindon way or was it speed cameras, I know it was one of those thinks that motorists hate.

Thanks for the replies guys... I'm going to go to the local Borough Council which is Kingston. I just hope their not all toffee nosed. Lucky I've had a shave today I'll even where a shirt.

Stand your ground. If they cant provide sticky enough tickets....they will fall off
