They never have been in the past - they're more worried about whether your battery and steering wheel are loose, and whether you're physically dropping fluids. They just don't want the track itself to be damaged thus causing delays.

ive just spent a weekend thrashing it around the lake district and it ran well just smokey may be a worn out turbo, think i can get a rebuild kit for 29 quid.

but if they aint bothered id rather just take it as is.

Haha, yes i have some experience in this area! Mine really was smoking mind! Oil seals in turbo were dead so it smoked like hell when stood but cleared when underload due to it being under pressure. The marshall stopped me and sent me to the scrutineer who tried to tell me that the engine was kaput and said it was poring oil out of the breathers, i then explained what it was and with a few kind words he let me run! So all was well. But from anyone who was there that day they will tell you how bad it was!

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.
