I have trouble thinking what to do with some of the parts I have (no, I won't despatch)

I am about to start and drive my stage 1 998 that will get the turbo therapy at some point.

I was thinking of a stage 1 turbo 998 then build a bored 1098 hi-spec GT-ish engine.

To achieve that I have :
a 998 engine, A+
a 1098 crank
a 12G202 standart head
a 12G295 standart head
an MD 256 cam
a 1,27 pressed steel rockers set

I know building the megajolt and exhaust header is gonna take a while so I start thinking of pepping up the stage 1 998 NA.

What I can't set my mind on is how.

Cam is out of the question but budget reworked 202 has some appeal.

Would you spend a year almost daily driving a st1 998 or would you use some money and somehow waste the 202 (for the turbo cause at least) ?

Because the 202 was involved in the first turbo application just to save the 295 for the big cc 1098.
But maybe that is redundant ...

Anyway, what would you do ?

Made up my mind and now my question is on the trade-off between CR and valve area.

I have a hi comp 998.
According to my calc, mated to a standart 12G202, it will give me 9.5.

If I rework the chambers as per Vizard mods and take it down to 9 (I assumes it involves milling it in the end), do you reckon the extra valve size and breathability can make more than up for the loss of CR ?

If so I can have a little more cake in NA form before I boost it and without the need to open the engine when I convert to turbo.

If you guys believe the loss of CR is not made up by the other mods, then I'll save the head for the actual turbo conversion.

I would say that the differance in performance between 9 and 10:1 CR will be minimal on a moderately powered 998.

As a matter of interest, what are the piston options with a 998?
