carb leaking on over run

Since I have rebuilt my engine the carb has been rich all the time and leeks a small amount of fuel on the over run if it has been boosting.I striped and cleaned the carb which had been rebuilt recently but it still leaks.I did 2000 miles with it before I stripped the motor and had no problems.
I have a new 1-3/4 carb but it isnt a turbo carb can it be used?

Got it running fairly well tonight been 10 miles and seems to fuel well using standard carb but needed the t-piece mod to get it running right.Do I need a seal kit? the carb is new

where is it leaking from?

if its from the pipe thats by the fuel in, then it would be the jet thing is knashered

the turbo carb is leaking from the choke lever do you mean get a sealkit to repair the turbo carb or so that a non turbo carb can be used?

personally i would repair your turbo carb with a seal kit, that should stop the choke spindle leaks.

i wrote a guide to rebuilding a carb a bit ago, look in the "how to" section.

Yep, those seals are only rubber so even if its new then if its been sat a long time they will have gone hard. they dont seem to last long but they're not overally expensive.

Need any bits give me a shout.

There is a video of 'flame thrower flanigan' showing the effect of leaking spindle seals...

Stripping and cleaning the carb alone isn't enough - they need the 16-22 year old seals replacing aswell!
