Has anyone ever thought of using a housing from an auto choke hif? Ive been thinking about this but find much info on it?
1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

It was a stepper motor driving the choke mechanism, controlled by an ecu monitoring engine temperature. Easy to replicate the control side of it these days, and Montego/Maestro turbo carbs were cheaper than Metro turbo ones when I last looked. |

Were theu fitted to the sd1? 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

They were usually total garbage, my mum used to have a maestro and she had a manual choke fitted as the automatic one never worked properly. |

Right, from what ive read they are shite, so ill not be bothering. Wonder how hard it would be to fit some sort of stepper motor device to stop stalling ect. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

The reason they were shite was that the seals went on the choke. Fitting viton seals cures the problem. |
