im ment to be going to spain with a couple of the lads in 2 weeks time. i have been stupid busy recently, and have stupidly not renewed my passport. what a fuck up. got an appointment monday morning at passport office for their one week service. had anyone else used this service, and how did it go? not going to get anything ready until i have the passport in my hand. failing that i will spend two weeks in the garage!

I used them and had my passport in a week. Cost £50 extra though, back in 2003. Just be VERY sure that you have ALL the correct documents, and they are up to date.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

what they want are my birth cert., passport form completed and the 'lost passport' form. have all of these, spoke to them on the phone earlier to confirm exactly what i needed, and what needed to be filled in. i can guarentee though that if anything is going to go wrong with it it will be me.

Don't you need to get a 'Professional person' as a refference and to counter sign the authenticity of the documents? Or is that for your first passport only?

yep, thats right. post office checked my photos, they are ok. got them signed etc. think you need the passport to be verified each time you apply. as my my previous one was a child one and was lost and expired years ago, i still need my parents to sign the forms...

my normal renewal doesn't need the photo's verified. that reminds me, must make wifey fill the forms in and send them of.

I did a same day service earlier on this year also - was around a 4 hour turn-a-round and was a fairly painless experience if i'm honest. iirc it cost around £140 ish but when your desperate I guess thats not too bad.

Annoyingly I went into the passport office not realising I had to empty my pockets upon entry and had all sorts in them haha.
