I am in process of chopping out rot from boot floor (whole boot floor*oh well*)

I was going to replace battery box with carbon or glass fibre, Question is if this will be MOT failure as no longer metal?

Guess I also need to measure from mounting points to see if it is classed as structural. what is that measurement by the way please? Been a while since puttin cars through MOT

Any help much appreciated

Colin

the rally scruts over here dont like cf bat boxes as they are quite conductive

Thanks for the replies.

so when people go for batt box do they just remove old batt box and weld plate in place ?

I will go for fibreglass probably due to price difference*smiley*

The wheel well is knackered also so was going to remove that and have pretty much flat floor but unsure again about MOT time. if done properly I can't see it being an issue but would have to look professional in finish.

I will give it a coat of looking at in a minute and then let the grinder decide*happy*
