Both to the coil - you need the correct "electronic" coil, it will have the corresponding (opposite) male and female to make sure you can't get it the wrong way around and the coil itself just gets 12V on the side marked "+".

We got away with using the ballast wire on the van for about 5-6k. I know this is wrong but we didn't realise this was the case until we pulled the engine. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

definitely use an electronic type coil, a normal one kills the electronic unit :( Yes i moved to the darkside |

If you search the web there is a step by step guide to do the distributor drive swap - sorry I cant give you a link, but I did this about 10 years ago. |

Be carefull, apart from the fact the the A Series are clamped in differently to the A plus, the drive dog plate is also slightly different. You may have to take the drive dog off an A series and fit it to the A plus electronic one. Simple roll pin to drive out IIRC. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |
