A customer of mine has a full race motor out of a sprite, a 1078 or something like that, he wants to sell me cheap, 0 miles.

Apparently its a very serious motor, and I'm trying to decide if its worth it to pick up.

I've read an inline to transverse swap is possible but slightly complicated and not particularly cost conscious. So would it make any sense, or will I run into any problems just swapping over the top end onto a mini bottom end? I figure you're halfway there doing a crank and whatnot in the sprite motor. Thoughts?

you need the mini crank and the flywheel end main cap from a mini block. then you need a linebore on your big ends, then you have to put on clutch gearbox etc etc

i would say start from scratch with a mini engine, you get what you want then, and can guarantee what is actually in it with out taking people words for it

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

Andy, the line boring is on the main bearings, not big ends, as I am sure you knew
