I have accumulated some scrap metal, including a couple of catalytic converters. Is there somewhere in south yorkshire that buys scrap, or shall I just head down the tip? |

Just find your local weigh bridge. I took some a few months ago, the price then was £150 a tonne. There's a couple in Rotherham if there's nothing local. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

CAT converters have platinum in them have a look round for CAT buyers as not long ago they were bringing good money. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

£50/tonne here on the south coast on Saturday..... Well down on a few weeks ago, but at least i have a bit more space on the drive now!!
And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |

Yeh, it's certainly nose dived a fair bit, I know it was £120 down here late last month! Just realised I forgot to remove the cats off both the motors I scrapped at the weekend..... Sod it..... Oh well, not much I can do about it now!! And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |
