I think I may still have one in the back of the workshop, although I took a load a load of stuff to the skip on the weekend.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

You have one on your car sprocket? If so could you post a pic? I'm looking at these, but not sure yet...

it can wait. I'm about 4 months out from having the car back on the road anyway. I'm thinking these replace the actual bracket, and then you still have the adjust that holds the steering column itself, right?

They are expensive, but worth every single penny! :) Much, much better than those cheap chromed wobbly drop brackets :) Much tighter steering column! And better looking *wink*

But you can't position the steering column in the std. position with these. But that's not what they were designed for anyway *happy*

In short: highly recommendet! :)

Unless you are tall, then you end up with the gear stick under your leg in every gear but 1st and 2nd and unable to get back out of the car without doing something undignified!

They're grand if you're a normal height though *wink*

T@z.

If it all goes Pete Tong, I have a spare standard bracket on the shefl at home if you want it for a fiver delivered.

PM me with your details if you change plans.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

I have my seat nearly on the floor behind the cross member, and I can just see over the top of the dash. I needed a slightly lower rake on the steering column and a 90mm deep dish steering wheel to be able to reach the bloody thing lol, that and a short shift gear stick so I could get it into 1st and third *hehe!*
