Hello All,

I have been reading up around the various forums on the twincam conversion. I have an 8V head here ready for the job when I finish killing tinworm!

There was a thread I read on here regarding flowrate comparison on flowbench between 8 and 16v heads. The thread ended and a row broke out over who did conversion first etc etc.

I know John K was looking into this and wondered if any results were had and if anyone was willing to share them please?

From my reading the hemi chamber on 8v should give nice torque and the pent roof chamber of 16v give more peaky revs.

I should add I will be running the BMW TB with 250cc injectors and running turbo.

Just don't want to go to all the hassle of doing the 8V if it is going to hold me back although looking at what some have pushed the A series head to with forced induction either should be more than enough for my present skills and knowledge

i think the 8v was better for midrange torque and turbo aplications,
the 16v better for lots of revs
i think that was the reasoning behind me buying an 8v, ( which im now selling on (shameless plug *happy*))

obviosly both vastly better than anything stock,

Yeah I did think of sacking the turbo and going N/A but decided to press on with something a little mental and I think I can get closer to high power with a budget turbo build than N/A all out well thats my warped thinking anyway*happy*

I had better stop nuying bits at moment though as fighting the tinworm war is costing enough right now*surprised*
